Warehouse421 is a hub for creativity and an active participant in Abu Dhabi’s creative ecosystem, and is dedicated to supporting learning, making, exhibition and commercial activity relevant to the local and regional creative industries. 

Since November 2015, Warehouse421 has hosted 14 exhibitions and showcased the work of more than 200 local and regional artists and designers, providing a place for creatives to formally and informally convene. Warehouse421 offers public the opportunity to explore their creativity through interactive initiatives including talks, workshops, film screenings and performances.

Located in the Mina Zayed of Abu Dhabi, Warehouse421 was converted from two former industrial warehouses and designed by the respected Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). 

 

Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation

The mission of the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation is investing in the future of the United Arab Emirates by investing in its people. To that end, the Foundation develops and supports strategic initiatives in the areas of arts, culture & heritage; education; and health. The Foundation also organizes a speaker series; Muntada. In addition, the Foundation supports initiatives outside of these areas to explore new areas of possible interest and future development.  

Through its art, cultural and heritage initiatives, the Foundation supports emerging artists and others seeking a career in the arts sector in developing their skills and talents, builds new audiences for arts and culture, connects Emirati artists with international audiences and supports innovative efforts to preserve and share the nation’s cultural heritage.

The conversation of Warehouse421 has been overseen by the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation as part of its mission to support the growth of the arts and cultural scene in the UAE.

All services and programs are managed by Lest We Forget FZ LLC. Warehouse421 is owned and managed by the Salamah bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation.
