Warehouse421 hosts Project Warehouse by Festember

Four-day event will include a selection of retail and dining options, interactive creative installations and a majlis for entertainment

 

From 1 – 4 June 2017, Warehouse421 will host Project Warehouse, a special Ramadan edition of the popular Festember arts and entertainment festival. The event will showcase a variety of fashion retail outlets, 9 different dining options, creative installations, live performances and an entertainment majlis offering traditional Ramadan games.

Celebrating the spirit of Ramadan, Project Warehouse will feature gourmet versions of traditional food, public areas for entertainment and relaxation, and will be open from 9pm to 2am daily. Reflecting Warehouse421’s mission to provide the community with a creative platform, Project Warehouse is the result of collaboration with local and regional artists, designers and performers.

Commenting on the event, Faisal Al Hassan, of Warehouse421 said: “Warehouse421 is proud to host Project Warehouse in June 2017, offering a unique experience during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The events and activities over the four days include creative performances and traditional games, reflecting the community spirit of Ramadan.”

Latifa Al Hamed and Noora Al Mazroui, co-founders of Festember commented: “We have seen great success over the past two editions of Festember with more than 54,000 attendees since 2015. We are delighted to work with Warehouse421 to offer the Abu Dhabi community a unique Festember experience during Ramadan. This event reflects the beauty of this time of year and the creative environment in which it is being hosted.”

Performances over the four-day event will include Glass Duo from Gdansk Poland, renowned glass harp musicians who have performed internationally alongside chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras around the world. 3D artist Tony Martin will create a unique artwork for Project Warehouse and an illusionist will wow visitors with tricks and illusions throughout the event. The event will also feature the first Majlis open to the public by Aura Living from Saudi Arabia.

Festember is an annual arts and entertainment festival that takes place in the nation’s capital. Project Warehouse follows two successful editions held in 2015 and 2016 at Umm Al Emarat Park.
