Contemporary Jewellery Making: Lost Wax hand-carving

This course, consisting of four sessions and a trip to a professional jewellery workshop has been designed to develop the participants’ basic metalworking skills.

Participants will learn the craft of wax carving and how to complete their pieces after casting. Wax carving lends itself very well to the creation of organic and fluid forms that cannot be made with sheet and wire. There will be set projects as well as the opportunity to experiment and develop bespoke designs.
